Ed Polk, owner/manager of Dawson’s Liquors was
born in Palo Alto, California. Moving overseas at a young age, he
lived in Germany, Holland, Turkey, and Australia. He returned to the
states in 1972 and settled with his family in Severna Park.
Ed’s 35 years experience in the liquor business
started in 1972 where he worked part time for Stanley Sagel at Grand
Ritchie Liquors in Glen Burnie. From 1977 to 1985, Ed was the
manager of Benfield Wine and Spirits in Millersville.
In 1985, Ed, along with his partners, bought
Dawson’s Liquors from the Dawson family. For the past 22 years, Ed
has been the driving force of Dawson’s, expanding the business to
its present day capacity.
Ed’s knowledge
of the business is unparalleled in Severna Park and the surrounding
area.
